Painting a hardware store (Cornwall)

In February 2016, FinDecor’s team went to Cornwall to do the interior painting of a hardware store.

At the beginning, the Home Hardware’s manager called us to get an estimate of the costs to for our electrostatic painting services. He needed us to paint the upper part of the interior walls as well as the ceiling of his store. The ceiling was made of iron while the walls were of gypsum.

The client worried about how much time it would take us to accomplish the project, as he did not want to close the store for several days and therefore loose sales on a certain period of time. I indicated that we could work mostly outside the opening hours so that the painting of his commercial building would not impact much his clients.

Thus, we went to the hardware store on a Sunday at closing time in order to install all of our material and equipment (ladders, elevating trucks, spray paint guns, paint cans, etc.). We covered the floor and the shelves of part of the store so to not damage their products.

The next morning, we arrived on the premises around 5H AM and we immediately started with the painting. When the store opened its doors, the entrance was already painted and almost dry. We succeeded in painting the whole hardware store in only one week, and we covered only a few aisles at a time so that the clients were able to circulate easily in the rest of the building.
