Since, it’s so important to make a careful choice, I would like to describe below, each color’s possible effects.

Red is a warm but very agressive color. It has to be avoided in large quantities in a closed space. It was used in chromotherapy to stimulate the body and mind and to increase circulation.

Pink is thought to have a calming effect occuring during the initial exposure to the color. If used in small amount in decoration, it gentiles the human personality. However, an excessive usage can make people lazy and unmotivated.

Orange is a warm and energetic color. Induces excitement and enthusiasm. Used to heal the lungs and to increase energy levels.

Yellow is a happy and warm color but an eye irritant. Thought to stimulate the nerves and purify the body. Sometimes called the color of insane.  As well as with the red one, use it just to make some accents.

Green is a popular and warm color.  It’s a color associated with nature and the growth. Know for calming properties it is good for eyesight. Avoid sickly greens and use nature as your guide to mix and match colors into a green themed room.

Blue is a popular but cold color. It produce a sense of calm and as lighter is the tone you choose, as bigger will look your room. Believed to soothe illnesses and treat pain.

Purple/Indigo represents wisdom and spirituality. In psychology it is often seen as a sign of depression. Was thought to alleviate skin problems.

Brown evokes a sense of strength and reliability but at the same time can induce a feeling of sadness and isolation. Gives a room a close grounded feeling.

Grey is a neutral color. In ancient times, was associated with the balance between the evil and devine. At present has a industrial connotation and is sometimes associated with pollution.

As I’m sure you have some color preferences I would like to point out few important issues when choosing a color palette for you interior.

• Don’t use more then 4 colors in a room. It will make a room look busy or cluttered.
• I would advise to use the warm colors in rooms where you want to feel summerly, while a cold color has to be used in spaces that have to be cooled down.

• And the last but not the least, ask yourself about what color you want in a room/apartment or even office. Especially if you will spend in it a lot of time.
